"Some Brazilian friends of ours took us to this place! They said they usually call ahead and speak with the chef to see what is cooking. What a cute little hole in the wall! We loved the Plate of the Day (chicken) and our friends called ahead to request the codfish casserole dish. My husband loved it! Definitely a hangout for Portuguese speakers and a place for family and friends."

"My husband's birthday dinner. The location is usually open for the lunch crowd and the few people that want a beer at night. However, if you order take out you can have the most wonderful traditional dinner. Churrasco - chicken, potatoes, and veggies, all seasoned and ready for an incredible meal. Also, if you speak Portuguese at all, even the worst and most broken version, the staff and customers will gladly help you practice. Great place to watch footy."

"This very authentic when it comes to portuguese food and portuguese coffee hangout. If you have never been to Portugal then you will need to be careful when you order. When you order a plate of food in Portugal, it's enough for 2-3 people. So if you are on your own, order half a plate or half a serving. In Canada a plate of food is 1 serving but in Portual things are done much differently. The food is also cooked to order. Basically, you need to call ahead and let them know what you would like to eat or to know what is on the menu that day. This is very typical in Portugal. Portuguese food is some of the best in the world in my opinion. You will not be disappointed when it come to flavor. There are no menus and you should ask for prices before you order. Just remember that a plate is around 2-3 servings. Don't forget to ask about the soup of the day and if you are inclined you can also order the bread and olives to start. I also suggest the Sumol to drink."

"Enjoyed a lovely family meal here. Very helpful to have people who speak Portuguese with you but they can speak English too. They even accommodated delicious Portuguese food for vegetarian and gluten free dietary needs. They needed information to prepare for our large group of 16 people but everyone enjoyed their meals and it was a wonderful and delicious time. Also bought from the store."

"I really enjoy this place, I started going here with my dad when my mom left to Spain and I just really enjoy their food, they always have something different and don't have a set menu like most places, when ylu first see it it looks like a normal small store that sales little stuff but when you walk to the back that's when you find the good stuff they have little chairs and tables where you can sit down and have some food or drinks, most of the times they'll be guys drinking there while watching the soccer game, I always get the special dish called bacalao bras which is a dish with eggs fish (bass) and potatoes with some peppers for the spicy part of it and I really enjoy it, jt has many times of flavour and is a very favorite dish around my family, we also have the deep fried fish which is amazing and I think is the best place to have deep fried fish in the city and their fries are amazing ad well, overall everything is great and they do have pop and alcoholic drinks. Also they have a dessert called egg tart that is so sp good"
